Who framed Roger Hargreaves?

I was reading a Mr. Men story to my son tonight before he went to bed. Mr. Messy to be precise. The story, like just about all the Mr. Men stories, is by Roger Hargreaves.

Anyway right at the start of the book, to illustrate how messy Mr. Messy is, there is a page covered in messy finger prints.

I looked at the page, and thought instantly of the scene in The Bourne Supremacy where the Russian FSB agent Kirill plants Bourne's fingerprints on some explosive detonators in the basement of a building in Berlin to essentially frame Bourne. Sorry if I ruined the movie for you right there.

Anyway, I then wondered what would happen in some FSB agent took Roger Hargreaves prints (stay with me on this one) and framed him for some big mad explosion somewhere.

OK don't panic. First of all Roger Hargreaves passed away sadly a few years back so he's not going to be framed. Second, I think it's not likely that these are Roger Hargreaves' own prints but you never know.

I did not share any of the above insane thoughts with my 5 year-old son.
