Is there nothing that can't be solved with open source software?
Maybe that's a mad question. Maybe not.
It's just that every time lately that I am looking to do something with the computer I seem to easily be able to find an open source, hence free of charge, programme to do what I want.
I've been using Audacity to edit audio files. I found an open source programme to access a Sony Ericsson mobile phone's memory so I could back up the entire address book.
I happen to think that maybe those people that have been ranting about open source for a long time may be on to something.
Now if only I could find an open source operating system that is as easy to install as Windows.
