Well the little guy is off to sleep tonight, the night before his first day in school.
His uniform is all laid out on a chair in his bedroom and to my surprise there was no "I'M NOT WEARING THAT!" when he saw it. Cool as a cucumber he looked at it and said "Oooh!" in a kind of "that's pretty cool" kind of way. Amazing.
I took down his little shirt and ironed it for him. I mean no self-respecting 5 year old goes to school with a creased new shirt now do they?
Not sure how often I'll be doing that though since little boys are not known for their natty dress sense when it comes to going to school. Everything is usually stuffed into a bag, or thrown in a heap on the floor so that might be more the norm.
Anyway, as Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman would say (don't ask how I know this, he's sleeping now.
Looking forward to hearing all about the first day of school tomorrow. Should be hilarious.
