Conklin dead, Abbott dead, Zorn dead and Vosen in custody.

Well it only took me 6 years to catch up to the rest of the world but what the heck.

I recently watched the three Bourne films and I really like them.

I'm not sure why. I've never been completely taken with this kind of movie before but I really like these ones. I've watched them over and over and find that I really get hooked watching them.

I think I must have starved myself so badly by not watching movies during my studies that I am now rediscovering why it's great to sit down and watch a whole movie. Actually having two young children also explains a lot.. I think it's been a long time since watching movies regularly was a regular thing.

Forgive me as I catch up if I bore you all with my 'discovery' of films everyone else on the planet has seen ages ago.

Rant of rants

ok so the story is this. The Ireland football team got a new manager recently. The last guy got sacked left his post by mutual consent after some poor results and a whole bunch of fans and the media turned against him.

Then there was a very drawn-out selection process to find a successor and they settled on this guy. He has had a very good career and has had lots of success. That might bode well or badly given our record as perennial great losers when it comes to international football.

Then I saw this today on YouTube.

Part of me is hoping the thing is faked. Part of me says that it doesn't matter that the subtitles are pretty much incoherent. When you look at the video you realise the gist of what he is saying without any need for subtitles. And that is scary.
